THE COMPANY
Art Lab is a commercial producer of Broadway theatre, regional theatre, and a developer of new works in New York City and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A powerhouse female trio, Meg Fofonoff, Producing Artistic Director and Executive Producer, Megan Chacalos, Associate Producer, and Artistic Consultant Bridget Beirne strive to create stories of the past that resonate today. Art Lab has been a producer on shows such as Head Over Heels, Come From Away (West End), The Cher Show, Little Dancer, and George C. Wolfe's Tony Nominated Gypsy. Art Lab was groundbreaking in producing several seasons (2020-2023) of "virtual" musicals, such as Disenchanted, First Date, Amour, and three theatre-based online series, The Show Must Go On Show, Art Lab Presents, and Broadway Interludes. In addition, Art Lab has produced a concert series in New York City, The Muse Sessions, as well as Rachel York's For The Love of It, The Holler, A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline, and the cabaret Mum's the Word for audiences on Cape Cod. Art Lab is excited to produce its own new work, Eric Holmes and Nat Zegree's The King's Critique, with a concept album launching in February, 2026. The team also finds joy in looking for new and unique arts-related educational and community development projects through its partnership with College Light Opera Company in Falmouth, MA.
MEG FOFONOFF
PRODUCER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Meg Fofonoff founded and served as Founder & Artistic Producer of Fiddlehead Theatre Company (FTC), from 1993–2016. FTC, a professional, award-winning entity, produced plays and musicals in Boston and beyond. Since then, she has moved on to a new chapter, establishing Art Lab LLC, a producer of commercial theater on Broadway as well as regional productions in Massachusetts and beyond. Art Lab has been a producer on the Tony Award-winning The Cher Show; Head Over Heels; Come From Away (London); and the Broadway-bound Little Dancer (directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman with music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty). Over the past years, in the newly derived virtual arena for theater, Meg Fofonoff has been the producer/director of virtual musicals such as Disenchanted (December 2020), Amour (April 2021), First Date (July 2021) as well as three theatre-based online series, The Show Must Go On Show, Art Lab Presents, & Broadway Interludes. In addition, Fofonoff has recently directed The Muse Sessions (NYC) and A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline and Mum’s The Word (Cape Cod). Art Lab is a member of the Broadway League and The National Alliance of Musical Theatre. Ms Fofonoff is a member of The League of Professional Theatre Women. She is a Board Member of The American Theatre Wing, The Boch Center (Boston), The College Light Opera Company (Cape Cod) and The Marine Biological Laboratories (Cape Cod).

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
Megan is a New York City-based performer and producer originally from Wheeling, West Virginia. Chacalos attended West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. It was within the school’s lab theatre program where she developed a knack for theatrical producing and directing. The summer before her senior year, she completed conservatory training at Stella Adler Studio NYC as one of the twelve members of the school’s first ever Enhanced Curriculum program. Chacalos began working alongside Art Lab in August of 2022 and helped sculpt projects such as the social media sensation, Broadway Interludes and most recently, Mum’s the Word.
Bridget Beirne
ARTISTIC CONSULTANT
Bridget Beirne is an actor, singer, audiobook narrator, and acting coach, as well as an artistic consultant with Art Lab Productions. With over 20 years of experience in the business, she has been seen on stages in NYC and around the country, and received awards and press accolades for her performances. Of her work, Backstage Magazine said, "She has the voice, the acting ability, and the physical presence to make an impact on the American Stage." Bridget first had the pleasure of collaborating with her dear friend Meg Fofonoff nearly 20 years ago, and finds it a joy to work with Meg and the fabulous Megan Chacalos at Art Lab. She brings a wealth of experience inside and out of the professional theatre to her work as an artistic consultant, building early bridges between Artist and Producer. Her goal is to help create exciting, dynamic, and impactful art with an emphasis on kindness, mindfulness, equality, and empathy-driven communication.
